On 23rd March 2021, Justin Harper, a freelance BBC business journalist reported on an unknown character in the blockchain world by the name of Sina Estavi. Please note the links to his BBC report here https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-56492358 and here https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-56506466 which reported “Malaysia-based Sina Estavi said” .. “Mr Estavi, a 29-year-old Malaysian national told the BBC.”

Having read the report, I personally reached out to Justin Harper business news reporter with facts and evidence of Mr Sina Estavi, who is Iranian born, Iranian based and his unlawful cryptocurrency activities, unfortunately this fell on deaf ears and nothing was fact checked. This report was widely used by Mr Estavi to defraud many Iranians and foreign investors in the sale of his token.

17th May 2021, Mr Sina Estavi was arrested in Iran for his criminal activities relating to his BRG token sales as well as unlawful cryptocurrency activities on his unlicensed websites cryptoland which is considered as one of the largest exchanges in Iran for cryptocurrency trade.

Once again I reached out to Justin Harper for his business news report on Sina to inform him of the update, instead of an apology and changing his news report he decided the best option was to block me on Linkedin instead. I have not read Justin Harper’s other news articles he has written but judging by the one he has written for Sina Estavi without any merit, proof and lack of any due diligence any senior journalist should have, I would like to warn all potential news agents who will consider hiring him to write.

Update, he has since updated his Linkedin status and no longer works for the BBC, all news agents beware of this irresponsible journalist Justin Harper!
